The Monmouth County Library Career Information Center will present a program on Using Business Directories to Find Potential Employers In The Hidden Job Market. The program will be at the Eastern Branch Library at 1001 Rt 35, Shrewsbury, NJ. The Time will be 10am to Noon on Tuesday, October 25, 2011. The "Hidden Job Market" refers to the large percentage (75%) of jobs that are available but not listed on online job listings. Companies may be looking for employees through personnel agencies, employee recommendations, referral programs, association membership lists, and resume banks.
The use of the following business directories will be demonstrated: the National Employment Matrix, Corfacts Online, "Employer Locator" from CareerInfoNet, Thomas' Register and ReferenceUSA.
