Nearing Retirement Age?

On Monday, March 21, 2011 from 7:00pm to 8:30pm, representatives from the Social Security Administration will conduct a pre-retirement seminar to help you plan for retirement. The program will be at the Eastern Branch of the Monmouth County Library at 1001 Rt 35 (Broad St.) in Shrewsbury, NJ.

This program is for individuals who are not currently receiving social security benefits and who are in the 50-65 age bracket. The seminar will address such questions as: deciding what age to retire, how to estimate your benefits, and how working after retirement can affect your benefits. Employment Resource Fair Sat. Feb 26 10am

There will be a Employment Resource Fair at the Eastern Branch of the Monmouth County Library at 10am-12noon, Saturday February 26, 2011. Representatives from the following agencies will describe how they can help you with employment and career issues: Monmouth County Division of Employment and Training, NJ Department of Labor and Workforce Development, Brookdale Community College, Monmouth County Library Career Information Center, and BIO-1-Stop, the NJ Bioscience Talent Network.

The Library is located at 1001 Rt 35 (Broad St) in Shrewsbury, NJ .

Monmouth County Summer Job Suggestions

Yes, it is only winter, but now is the time to look for a summer job. The Career Information Center librarian will present reports from the NJ Department of Labor that identify potential employers, industries and occupations.
