Job and Career Accelerator has a good set of free online computer tutorials. As we all know, computers are needed both to do a job and to find a job. To find the tutorials you take the following steps
1. Go to www.monmouthcoutylib.org
2. Scroll down to "Services" and select "Career Center"
3. Click on "Guides to Employment Information"
4. Click on Job and Career Accelerator.
5. First time users must register with their Monmouth County Library Card number
6. Find the Computer Tutorials by clicking on "My Accelerator" or "Tests and Courses"

An Introduction to "Real Time Jobs In Demand" in Monmouth County. Labor market specialists from the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development will explain how to look for employment using "Real Time Jobs In Demand". Michael Dugan is the labor market specialist for Monmouth County and Frank Ferdetta works on the "Real Time Jobs In Demand" project. Dugan and Ferdetta also wrote the August 2010 edition of the Monmouth County Community Fact Book which documents the county's economy. With over 8000 employees in Monmouth and Ocean Counties working in hospitals, nursing homes and other health services establishments, Meridian Health provides a great variety of career possiblities. New Employment Projections 2008-2018
The Monmouth County Library Career Information Center will present a program on the latest employment projections from the US Department of Labor. The projections cover the 2008-2018 time period. They are on the Bureau of Labor's website at www.bls.gov.
