This presentation will be given at 10am on Thursday, May 14th at the Eastern Branch of the Monmouth County Library at 1001 Rt 35 in Shrewsbury. Librarian will demonstrate accessing employment projections developed by the US Bureau of Labor Statistics. National, State, and local projections will be demonstrated as well as the US Census Departments Local Employment Dynamics database and the "Real Time Jobs in Demand" database from the New Jersey Department of labor and workforce development. New Federal Job Training Website
Opportunity.gov is the name of a new website promoting federal programs to encourage unemployed workers to get job training while they are receiving unemployment benefits. If you are interested in learning which occupations are predicted to increase in employment, come to the Library presentation on employment projections from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics.
