A Review of Resources and Assistance For Job Seekers
Tuesday November 9, 2010 from 12 noon to 2:00pm
Representatives from the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development will explain resources available for job-seekers. The resources include:financial aid/training grants, Professional Services Group job network, housing, rental assistance, New Jersey Youth Corps, Workforce Learning Link, Job Search Assistance, Adult Basic Education, Occupation Explorer, Income Assistance, Career Assistance, Job Fairs, One-stop Career Counseling, Self-employment assistance, "Real Time Jobs In Demand", Job Readiness Preparation, Apprenticeship Training, GED prep and testing, Career Development, Income Assistance, Transportation, Child Care and NJCAN, the New Jersey Career Assistance Navigator.

Monday, October 18th 1-3pm "Real Time Jobs In Demand" In Monmouth County 1001 Rt 35, Shrewsbury, NJ
An Introduction to "Real Time Jobs In Demand" in Monmouth County. Labor market specialists from the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development will explain how to look for employment using "Real Time Jobs In Demand". Michael Dugan is the labor market specialist for Monmouth County and Frank Ferdetta works on the "Real Time Jobs In Demand" project. Dugan and Ferdetta also wrote the August 2010 edition of the Monmouth County Community Fact Book which documents the county's economy. This program will be useful for job hunters, employment counseling professionals and students planning the vocational careers. For more information call 866-941-8188. The Monmouth County Library Career Information Center will introduce you to NJCAN, the New Jersey Career Assistance Navigator from the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development. This presentation will be on Monday, June 21, 2010 from 1:30-3:00pm at the Monmouth Conty Library in Shrewsbury at 1001 Rt 35.

US Postal Service Jobs-Eatontown
United States Postal Service has issued a help wanted notice for "casual clerks" at the Monmouth Processing and Distribution Center at 307 Industrial Way West in Eatontown. Representatives will explain how the industry works: what occupations are hired and what the contracts are like.
